... I have but this to say:
PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER, YOU FREAKIN' DRAMA QUEENS.
Good God, I can't believe the sudden hand-wringing and moaning and JamesB3ing in here. You'd think Kerry was 15 points behind. Have you all completely lost your perspective here?
Look, this is RNC week. It belongs to them, face it. We had our time in the sun as well Bush will get the media coverage, they'll fawn over Giuliani, and there may be a bounce. Bush may enjoy a lead, for a time. It won't matter. The fond memories of Bush's speech will fade, and the debates will come, and news will continue to happen. It's very, very, very, very, very, very, very far from over.
When Kerry was leading Bush in just about every poll, did you hear Bush supporters whining and moaning? Did you hear them all preparing to concede the race? Of course not. They were confident that things would start to swing their way - and they were going to, inevitably, at some point.
I think some of us here follow the news with a little too much intensity. It's easy, when you're following the action as closely as we are, to lose sight of the bigger picture, and forget about how quickly ideas move in and out of the public consciousness these days. Maybe some of you should steer clear of political news for a bit, as I did. Might help you get some perspective.
End rant.
